An Unexpected Visitor
Hmm...Uh...Ok. So, I'm brand new to this site and just discovered this story. I'm always late to any party (ADHD), but I still thought you might enjoy knowing that there are still readers, out here, continuing to enjoy your story...and I did enjoy this story; even if it is way too short for such an evocative and well done piece!
I've always felt that, if anyone should have noticed the signs of an abused child, it was Severus. Of course, I also feel that if the gigantic Fashion Mistake relayed the conditions of Harry's home life to Sev and was still intent on returning him to that same environment, then the old whiskered wanker should be brought up on charges of Criminal Neglect and Aiding and Abetting in the past Abuse of a Child and Conspiracy and Collusion to Cause Further Harm to a Minor, but that's just my opinion.
I quite enjoyed your tale: Thank You!

Well done! Personally I think this would be a great beginning to more chapters. What happens next? How does this change Severus? In what way? His relationship with harry could change? How? Would his teaching change?

All of these questions and a few others come to mind. Naturally all these changes would not happen at once but this is the beginning of summer. Severus has a lot of time to think.

BRILLIANT I mean, it's so short but it's BRILLIANT. Snape is so human here. It's just BRILLIANT

Too bad something like this didn't really happen to change Snape's bad attitude toward Harry. Maybe the story would have come out differently . . . at least maybe Harry wouldn't have hated potions so much

Or atthe very least it would be harder for Snape to convince himself Harry is just like James. Thanks for reviewing.

I don't really believe you, but it's an amusing idea, nevertheless.

Awwww. I love it! I don't think that there will ever be an understanding quite as powerful now, but I still hold onto that small bit of hope that they will understand each other a little better by the end.

I really liked this snapshot. Too bad Harry wasn't actually brave enough to have this conversation. Keep up the good work...

Dear Enero,

I enjoyed your story; it is an intriguing "What if...." I value stories that demonstrate that there is an openness to good, a possibility of hope, for everyone. Snape's reaction here is only a 'baby step' as yet--which could lead to an AU (Big Time!)--but that is how we shape our lives: one action at a time.

Thank you for your story!

What an interesting tale. I really enjoyed it. Things may have been different had that really happened. You have a very easy writing style and I enjoyed this little story very much. Way to go!

I really enjoyed this - it would be very Harry to do something like that. And Snape would hate it!
