Nice 'muggle' chess game .
| Wednesday 25th October 2006 22:37 | The Chimaera and the Hippogriff (Author Response) | OTP chapter "Grawp"
"Dungbombs and Strink Pellets were dropped so frequently in the corridors that it became the new fashion for students to perform Bubble-Head Charms on themselves before leaving the lessons..."
So "we" is anybody at Hogwarts and they are telling Tonks how they got so much practice at the Bubble-Head charm that they could cast it very quickly once they realised they had to.
I'm glad you like the chess game - thanks. | daniel_r_crazy22 Saturday 2nd September 2006 19:53 | The Chimaera and the Hippogriff | Hmm. This is a very odd story. You told me everything with come to gether in the end. But will anything come together before that, because I'm still a little confused. LoL | Wolf's Scream Tuesday 29th August 2006 20:25 | The Chimaera and the Hippogriff | Excellent; I prefer that notation for chess (vs. what's commonly used now). The chapter seems quite believable. | Wednesday 30th August 2006 22:32 | The Chimaera and the Hippogriff (Author Response) | Excellent; I prefer that notation for chess (vs. what's commonly used now). I thought that descriptive notation would be more picturesque, and since Ron inherited his chess set from his Grandfather, it would be more likely to use it. Also I learned it first too! I do make a less direct reference to algebraic notation much later on. |
