very ammusing and entertaining,
just one note though there is no British football/soccer team, it's Scotland, wales, ireland(eire), northern ireland and england. of which scotland is most obviously the best |

This chapter doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the story? Am I missing something? |
Friday 1st December 2006 05:13 | The Other World Cup (Author Response) |
Well, I don't really know what you mean by "doesn't fit". Each of the chapters is a separate one-shot that doesn't depend on the others and takes place around the World Cup 2006. As this one is after the World Cup, it doesn't pick up right after Bill's and Fleur's story, but maybe one week afterwards, after the English team has come back. I hope I was able to clarify it for you - thank you very much for your review! |

Humorous. I liked the confusion regarding *which* World Cup. I think you could've tied all the short stories together somehow at the end. |

Great fun! I love seeing the wizarding world collide into a disastrous crash when it has to deal with the Muggle world. Loved your Percy and Fleur characterisations especially. Very, very funny. |

Thanks for your nice review! I love writing about said collision and it's even better when there are people like you who like reading it! Especially Percy was great fun to write, with his pompous politician attire. |

Hahaha, this is hilarious. I love this so much. |

I've said it before and I'll say it again ... I think you have an amazing talent. You took what, for me, was something completely unknown (World Cup soccer/football ... urgh) and made it funny and enjoyable and fun to beta, too. You know how much I loved watching the snotty come out in Fleur! Great job, Mira, I can't wait to see more and more from you! |

I thank you for giving this story a chance. It is quite unusual, after all... Thank you for all the work you put into this - without you, my writing (at least on English) wouldn't be suitable for publishing anything here. And don't be afraid, I'll just bomb you with fics if you ask for it |

What a nice ending... I think you've done a great job of showing Harry, Percy and Fleur in slightly... unusual situations. Though I'm feeling sorry for Harry now. He is a bit paranoid, isn't he? Poor boy
I'm looking forward to your next story! |

Ari, thanks so much for your review! Coming from you, it means so much to me that I can't really describe it. |

Hah! That was great - really funny. I loved the bit about the suitcases, wouldn't that be amusing for the police to have something like that.
Great work! |

Thanks for your nice review! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. The suitcases were fun to write - it's one of those mysterious things the Muggle police will never understand. Looks like a serious breach of clause 5B of the Treaty for International Magical Concealment from Muggles, to quote Percy. |

And what was the whole point of this story? But besides that, it was written very well. |

Thanks for your reviews and compliments on my story. I'm glad you enjoyed it. My purpose was not only to set a memory to the World Cup 2006, but also to show how Muggle and magic world can interact. We tend to see them as apart, but sometimes there has to be some confusion. |

Excellent bit of satire. Simply fantastic!!! |
