i knew that bloody witch was up to something how could feel something for her she is a traitor kind of like but all in all the story is brilliant you are like a second JK.Rolling this like i loved it
the anticipation alone was enough to make him determined to return to her, somehow.... some way.

Nice!! It goes well with the hints you kept dropping on the fact than Pansy was up to something...but forgive me to say, did Harry forget how to use his brains? Why on earth would Pansy be waiting at the entrance of the dark forest.... Dear me....love always makes your brain look like jelly...Poor Harry

Oh no1 You took a family pic when Ginny left the hospital wing! The only reason to do that was to have a last family photo before someone dies, right?

As promised, I'm back now that you've finished with the story, and I dare say this was an excellent chapter to bring me back into it. I'm just stunned with the subtlety and swiftness of the twist at the end. Great work!

That one little decline in the action -- that moment when you made us think Harry had the upperhand over Pansy -- made the impact of his apparent capture hit so much harder. I didn't see it coming at all, and that's not something that happens to me too often in fanfiction. And that just reinforces my option about your creativeness as a storyteller because that was about as clever a manipulation of the reader as I've seen in a fic. I'm definitely looking forward to how you build on it.

That moment also puts Pansy in a whole new light, both for the better, as she's obviously quite ingenius to come up with a plan like that, and the worse, as it's pretty clear now which side she's on.

I found this chapter quite humorous, too. That banter between Iris and Fred was well done and that whole absurdity of the photo scene was pretty hysterical once it started to build up. I also thought the chapter was slow to develop -- especially with all the background lumped at the start -- but I can deal with easily enough if your going to end so effectively.

Anyway, thanks as always for the hard work!

Thanks! I'm glad you could get past the lump of information, but it had to get in there, and I thought the chapters were long enough as it is. I'm SO happy you were surprised by Pansy. I really tried to not make Harry look stupid, and I think I pulled it off, so it's so nice to hear confirmation of that.

I always enjoy your reviews because you give so much feedback. Thanks for that.

Been so caught up in the story I haven' reviewed in a bit.

The last horcrux was well-handled, but not a surprise due to your forshadowing. Nothing wrong with that -- not everything in a story can be a surprise!

I had been struggling with the idea of Harry using the Killing Curse to destroy Voldemort, because I couldn't believe he would have the ability to enjoy killing, so I really liked how you worked it. That just the Cruciatus required enjoyment of the victim's suffering was music to my ears!

Okay, selfish music, because in the story I'm writing Harry does cast it to kill Voldy in a brief flashback and I keep thinking I need to find another path do the dark lord's demise. No plagerism intended! It's just a justification I'll keep in my head. If I ever finish and post the story, I'll send people your way if they dislike my use of Aveda Kedavra.
I've never posted before, and I'm just a first year, so if this is not the proper protocol, please let me know. tsujton@yahoo.com

Heh, I dont' think the idea of Harry casting the killing curse is at all original, but I agree with you that Harry SHOULD have trouble with Dark Magic. I've always avoided having him use the Killing Curse for that reason, but after HBP, I thought we really don't have another way. Of course, JKR has definitely surprised me in the past. Book 4 said the Killing Curse is Unforgiveable because it can't be blocked. Still, it's more humane than any kind of suffering death, I suppose. Go right ahead and use my justification, I'm honored.

NOO!! I knew she was up to something! Ah Ha! lol...great chapter. I can see a fight coming. I suppose the beach bit was like the calm before the storm. Darn that evil Voldie for mucking up Harry's life!

Keep the the fantastic work and don't let Harry die!

Oh, bring on a dementor! Harry has the best ever moment (at the beach with Ginny) to use to summon a patronus.
And I like that he is finally thinking that he doesn't have to die.
Wednesday 27th September 2006 06:49The Seventh Horcrux (Author Response)
Heh, you're right. He does have a Dementor-worthy memory, doesn't he. As for thinking he doesn't have to die - I think he's at the point at HOPING there's an alternative, but he's still fairly resigned to that fate. Of course, by the end of this chapters, everyone's plans just went out the window.

That was some twist in the tale you got there

That is kind of making this a tug of war between the good and the evil just like it ought to be and also the way you handle Ginny\Harry relation is simply bettered by none but JKR herself Great

And the way you turned out Pancy tricking Harry was just fit for a Slytherine....

Continue the good job and hope there is more exitement like you always present with the mix of love and emotion

HOLY #$@%!!! I wasn't expecting a portkey! I knew Pansy was behind something... *sigh* He shouldn't have bothered! I can't help it... You always get me with those calm, happy moments. As much as I try to remember, I always forget that. Bad things and cliffhangers always follow the light-hearted moments!
Darn that Pansy Parkinson...I never trusted her pug-like face!

Oh, come out with the next chapter soon! I can't wait!

Ahh! I knew it was that Parkinson cow! Anyway... loved the sweetness between Harry and Ginny. The beach is a wonderful idea! Kind of reminds me of another story... The Simplest of Things, perhaps?

I really hope that you let Harry unleash a few cans of ... soon. He's had it so rough that he deserves to do some serious butt-kicking to make up for it.
Tuesday 26th September 2006 11:02The Seventh Horcrux (Author Response)
Heh, I tend to use the beach idea a lot, mostly because I love the beach so much, lol. They never actually got to go in The Simplest Things, so at least he did, here.

As always, another wonderful chapter, and another horrible cliffie! Of course I mean "horrible" in the sense that I'm going to be sitting here anxiously biting my nails until the next chapter is posted. I think it was perfect the way you had Harry playing it ever-so-cautiously, but still getting fooled... I really thought she was up to something, but I didn't quite expect that. Love it! Can't wait for the next one.

That cliff hanger was just evil
My heart was pounding so hard at the end of the chapter, I can only imagine how stressful the next one is going to be
I stand by my earlier request, give Pansy hell to pay for this
This was the last beautiful full of fluff chapter before the end and you did it perfect as always ( the last chapter will also be fluffy because Harry is going to live, right? ).
The beach date was so perfect and the best part is that It gave Harry a reason to live, even if it is a hormonal reason
I think Draco is not going to betray Harry and for that I love this fic even more, Pansy is the only one stupid enough to think Voldemort wont kill her and Draco either way.
Tuesday 26th September 2006 11:00The Seventh Horcrux (Author Response)
Pansy isn't being very bright, is she? More on what's going on with her, Harry, Draco and all of them in the next chapter.

I'm glad you enjoyed the fluff. You're right, this was the fluffy one before the hard stuff begins.

Oh. That was so good. And I knew Pansy was up to spmething, But didn't know what. I can't wait to see what happens. And the beach scene was so sweet. And Harry needs to stop thinking about death. He's starting to sound like Moaning Myrtle. Dudley's fear, I would have never guessed that. I kept wondering what it would be, and I think that might just be it. Once again, that was really good. And you like your cliffies way too much.
Monday 25th September 2006 05:49The Seventh Horcrux (Author Response)
Well, I do think that anyone faced with a death sentence would have death on their mind, lol. As it gets closer, Harry is naturally dwelling on it more and more. Dead man walking and all that.

Awesome cliffhanger!

A copule of typos:

Small green buds began to pop out on previously barren trees, and the first hearty flowers poked their heads from the earth.

That should by hardy.

“Oh, nothing against them. I suppose plenty of people find it amusing to see a hat floating around on its own. I simply prefer subtly in my humor,” Iris said, casually pushing her dark hair off her shoulder.

Should be sublety.

Those of you who suspected Pansy was up to something are going “Ah Ha!” right now, right?

My "Ah Ha" was drowned by an "Oh, no"! Why do the good ones always have to be the stupids?

PS: Your review filter didn't allow a more graphic "no" with three "o"s.
Sunday 24th September 2006 09:17The Seventh Horcrux (Author Response)
Hee, I've been caught by that filter myself, lol! Yes, she got him, but I really tried to keep Harry from looking stupid. He didnt' follow her, he didnt' trust her, he merely tried to disarm her. I think even MadEye Moody might have done the same.

right we are (saying 'i knew it' about Pansy, that is)! Very clever trick with the portkey wand though - it sure is getting hot now, isn't it? I was wondering about the timing for the date, and now it all makes sense. Poor Harry, thinking about dying alone! *Sob* it's just too awful.

Dudley seeing himself in Harry's place actually makes a lot of sense - when your parents are capable of doing that to someone else, a part of you would always wonder if they could to it to you too.

Great chapter ( and i'm not going to complaing about the cliffie, i'm not, i'm not going to ... oh )

Sunday 24th September 2006 09:24The Seventh Horcrux (Author Response)
Thanks! The idea of Harry dying alone tugs on my heartstrings, too, but I think that's where his head would be. I'm SO glad you mentioned Dudley's fears. I'm glad you thought that worked. I went over so many scenarios of what Dudley would have seen, lol.

Poor Harry--he's in for a very bad time! Of course nothing is going like they planned. I guess Ginny will know something happened to Harry from her necklace.

I really like how Draco and Harry have made their peace with each other. Life has matured them, allowing them to grow past their school-days squabbles. Draco is going to be very upset about Harry's kidnapping; Draco knows he's dead (and it won't be quick or painless) if Harry doesn't vanquish Voldemort.

Kudos to you for keeping Harry and Ginny's relationship appropriate for their ages. It's great that he had quality time with his loved ones--he's going to need some good memories to hang on to. Looking forward to the rest of the roller coaster ride you have planned for us!
Sunday 24th September 2006 09:38The Seventh Horcrux (Author Response)
You're right, nothing is going as planned at all, but does it ever?

YOu'll see more of Draco and Pansy in the next chapter. As for Harry's restraint, that had more to wanting things to progress on his own terms rather than Voldemort-instigated.

Aha!... sneaky sneaky Although I\'m not sure I buy the \"gloves keep the portkey from activating\" thing.... I assume Draco and Dudley are in on this little plot somehow.

Why is it that no-one takes their hospital wing confinement too well? Get all bent out of shape and such.

You were so close to the smut! So close! Guess we MIGHT see that in chapter 34 if Harry survives?

Looking forward to chapter 28. I\'m guessing it\'s time for a bit of action... and a series of HUGE cliffies... better get my breathing techniques practiced!

Heh, you're looking for smut, are you? Sorry, even if I ever do a scene like that, it wil most definitley be a fade to black. Not something I think I could write, lol.

I am in a state of absolute and complete shock you cruel, cruel woman. I cannot believe you just did that to us. I cannot believe what a cow Pansy is. And I am sure though, that Malfoy had nothing to do with it. He's not so stupid as to risk his hiding place... well maybe he is, but somehow I feel that Pansy is the one we all have to hate here. At least Harry's ready to kick some Voldemort butt. And he doesn't have to face Ginny's. Hermione's or Ron's wrath that he left without them. Never let it be said that I don't see a bright side to things. But I'm getting ahead of myself here. Maybe he's not even going to Voldiewarts. Maybe he was whisked away to Snape, who will weaken him and then hand him over to Voldemort. He is a dirty, rotten player
Anyways, I think that's enough theorizing! Amazing work dear!

Brilliant! Guh! I can't wait to read the next chapter.

All of Harry's thoughts about his death, and the plans that he has made were gut-wrenching. There was also the simple truth that he couldn’t quite admit out loud – that he was afraid to die alone. And yet, he is still going on. But that is what makes Harry so special.

If nothing else, he hoped it would leave them with good memories of him after he was gone.
I thought that line was rather moving (and probably very true to what Jo is writing *shudders*). It's simplicity made it sound very Harry-like. In fact, the whole scene in the Room of Requirement was touching.

I can't believe Pansy was so stupid though. *shakes head*. She clearly doesn't know who she is dealing with. All she has done is risk Draco's life further, because Voldemort is not likely to give Draco any grace just because his girlfriend handed him the ONLY person who could stop him. But then, you already know all this... I am just venting.
Using a wand as a Portkey was a good idea though - a very cunning and Slytherin thing to do. Personally, I hope Ginny hexes her into an ICU for that move though.

Great chapter. Keep them coming. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

I really, really hope that this is some sort of setup on Harry's part where he's allowed himself to be taken. Otherwise I'm going to have to agree with Pansy, and I really don't want to do that.

“He’s not an idiot,” Pansy said, seething. “He’s got more brains in his pinky finger than you can ever hope to have.”

If Harry really allowed Pansy to trick him, quite frankly, I hope he dies. He deserves to. All of the 'light side' deserves to. Really, you mean that taking in dark families and allowing them free reign around the last group of resistance to Voldemort is a bad idea? Who would have thought? The sheer stupidity of this entire group of people is remarkable. To take in a group of people, who are a danger to all of them, who have no value and no leverage is pretty retarded. Everyone in your story has apparently gotten progressively dumber since book 6. I just hope that someone in charge actually planned for this latest development. Any effect a cliffhanger might have had is mitigated by how nauseatingly dense these characters are turning out to be.

I don't like agreeing with Pansy about anything (unless Jeconais writes it). I hope this feeling doesn't last pass the beginning of next chapter.

I'm afraid this story isn't the one for you, then. The Light side is light for a reason, and in the last war it was someone FROM the light side who was the traitor. Neither Mrs. Parkinson or her dauthers were Death Eaters, and I can easily see the canon Order offering them shelter. They wouldn't hold the sins of the father against them, and I'm happy for it. As for Draco, DD tired to help because of how young he is, and I think the Order would do the same.

Sorry about that, and you probably won't like the next one, either. Gulp.

The beach scene was wonderful. It was so nice. And I loved the interaction between Iris and Fred. As usual, the Weasley's are an amusing bunch together, and I love your Mr. and Mrs. especially! ^^ I want to believe the best in Dudley and Draco, really, but... they're just so EVIL!
Still. *glares* Stupid cliff-hangers...

Heh, thanks! Interesting that you're angry with Dudley and Draco more than Pansy, hmm? More coming up with all of them in the next chapter.

Glad you liked the Weasleys. Haven't we all been through a scene like that where Mom insists on pictures and Dad takes forever to focus, lol?

Goodness! I was extremely happy to see that email telling me that you updated.

All I can say for this chapter is WOW. I dont even know how to explain what I'm thinking... Your story has been kind of like a 4th of July fireworks show. You end with these terrible cliffies, leaving us upset like when the fireworks pause and only smoke fills the sky, but then all of a sudden, you give us these remarkable chapters, putting smiles on our faces as a new round starts. This past chapter tied everything together, and the latest cliffie only leads me to think that the grand finale is on its way.

As I said, WOW. I hope for another speedy update so we can find out where Harry is taken to(and to whom!)

Thanks! Aww, the fireworks analogy just really touches me! Thanks so much. What a nice thing to say!

You're right, we're headed into the grand finale, and the next few chapters will get a bit rough.

Oh, my freaking goodness! I can't even tell you how long I sat here staring at the screen with my hand over my gaping mouth in complete disbelief. How could you?! He shared such a perfect moment with Ginny on the beach and you snatch him away like that! Shoot that stupid wench! Bury her alive. Grr!

I can't remember... Harry still doesn't know how to get the Horcrux out without killing himself, right? I'm so worried for him!

Hee, yes, you're right. Harry's plan is to kill himself - Voldemort's plan, however, is to keep Harry alive

As for the beach scene - well, geez, I owed him (and you) some fluff before the tough stuff starts again, didn't I?

Wonderful chapter, I really liked Harry and Ginny's date and I kind of expected Pansy but only because I thought Harry's plan wouldn't work the way he wanted so someone had to betray him. Keep up the great work and update soon!

Thanks! Yes, they didn't account for the unexpected, and for the moment - Pansy's won this round.

You completely surprised me with the Portkey! I knew Pansy was up to something and she was trying to get Harry away from everyone, but i never imagined her wand as a Portkey. She played that perfectly!

I'm glad Harry got some time with his friends before he was thrust back into Voldemort's plan. I love the moments where he gets to relax and be a kid.

Wonderful chapter and evil cliffie. It's what I've come to expect from you.

Hee, thanks! Yes, I hoped Pansy's deception would work without having Harry do anything stupid. He didn't trust or follow her, and honestly, if she pulled her wand on one of the Order, I think they would have tried to disarm her, too. Pansy just figured that, too

You've got to be kidding me! No! Not another cliffhanger like this! I think this one is the worst one ever. I don't think I could possibly wait a week until you post the next one! gah. I loved this chapter though - everything with Draco and Dudley. The beach scene was cute too.

Hee - I warned you. Last chapter was the make-up gift since I knew this one was coming, lol. I know this story has been lacking in fluff, so the beach scene was to try and give Harry (and the readers) some before the big battle begins. Still, I'm glad you liked it.

Aw, no, you didn't! *cries* I was actually starting to feel sorry for her too, especially after Ginny drew the parallel. Gah. Evil witch.

Great chapter, you really had me on. I can't wait to see what happens. Are we in the home stretch now? I can't imagine Harry can do too much stalling anymore. *gulp*

Thanks! Yes, we're in the home stretch now, and the next few chapters aren't for the faint of heart

Did you really feel a bit sorry for her? Yay! I was hoping that would work. She and Ginny ARE in similar situations - they've obviously just made vastly different choices in how to deal with it. Pansy may be the Slytherin, but I think Ginny is much more aware of how Voldemort really works.
