lovely that was really good. And yes, those anvil-sized hints |

I enjoyed the irony of Hermione being a Seer herself, considering how she felt about Trelawney while in school. The torture of not knowing what Harry and Ron were keeping from her was trying, but I'm sure you intended for us to feel the same suspense that Hermione was feeling. I really enjoy how you write all of the characters. Great insight. Thanks for sharing this with us. |

Thank you -- yeah, I couldn't resist that idea. |

This is quit a nice story, I thinks I need to read the other 2 storys that gave you the idea to write this one. I really liked the prophecy it was good. |

Thanks -- although I should warn you the Strinx one is very long and still a WIP.
(Sorry this reply is so late -- I just noticed that I'd hit the wrong button and added a reply as another review. D'oh ..._ |

Boys really don't understand girls. Girls imaginations can create problems that never existed! Just give a girl a reason to worry and the problems just keep on growing! This was very well done. I like the way all the characters react to each other. And finally Harry discovers that he really needs Ginny in his life. That is a biggie too! Thanks for writing. I look forward to more stories from you. |

Thank you! I think Hermione particularly is by nature a worrier. I'm glad you like the way they work together, it was the first time I'd tried writing the Trio in a serious story. |

Wonderful story! I loved the idea of Hermione as a Seer and the prophecy, and Harry was very clever to use the prophecy to bring Ron and Hermione together, even though it really meant Ginny! Great story, I love your work! |

Thank you -- it just seemed like a fun idea to write, with Harry's actions there to give one last twist! |

Thank you very much! Glad you liked Harry's plan at the end, I added that as I thought it needed one more small twist there. |

Brilliant! Very clever and well-developed. Nice tie-in with HBP canon --particularly the T/R and loss of powers bit-- and it was fun reading Hermione's perspective and the boy's anxiety. Loved the "anvil sized hints" too! |

Thank you -- I couldn't resist the 'anvil' line. |

Nice piece. You do a good job of keeping the reader wondering (and Hermione too ) what they need to tell her.

Thank you! Poor old Sybill -- she doesn't even know that she's a real Seer. |

Nice. And I kept wondering what the big secret was myself. And I thought that Hermione would take it worst too. Very well written. |

Priceless. That's my favourite line:
"He'd better not be sniggering behind my back. He'd just better not, that's all. Or this time, it'll be eagles I set on him." |
Sunday 24th September 2006 12:18 | You Tell Her (Author Response) |
Thank you! I quite enjoyed writing that line. Poor Ron. |
Ladybug Sunday 24th September 2006 08:06 | You Tell Her |
Such an enjoyable tale! That is so funny, and it's even better second or third time round - then I noticed all the little clues you planted on the way and the irony of it all: at least before she'd walked out on that ridiculous fraud Trelawney. I love this story, and I think all the characterisations are absolutely spot-on and it's mysterious and funny and a little bit fluffy, too. Great work! |
Sunday 24th September 2006 13:21 | You Tell Her (Author Response) |
Thanks! I did try to drop a few hints to what was going on, although I was counting on the basic idea being unlikely enough that it would be hard to guess. I'm glad the characterisations worked, it's the first time I'd tried to write the Trio in a semi-serious piece. The R/Hr fluff wasn't originally intended, it sort of grew out of the fact that it's immediately post-HBP. |

This was so funny. You really had me going. I though their secret was that they didn't want her cooking any more because she was terrible. I got really started wonder what was going to happen when he pulled the pensive. You could really go far with this story. The idea that only part of prophecies only partly heard is very good. That could be a whole diversionary tactic in another story.
The construction of this story was very good and it flowed really well. You kept the audience captivated from the start. We had a mystery to solve and some comedy at the same time. It was very entertaining. Thanks

Sunday 24th September 2006 12:08 | You Tell Her (Author Response) |
Heh. I imagine Harry would be the cook out of the three of them, having had plenty of practice with the Dursleys!
Glad you enjoyed it -- it's basically a oneshot, as I very much doubt that Book 7 is going to include Seer!Hermione, but I tried to make the background and other activities plausible as the sort of thing they might be doing.
Thank you very much! |
