I haven't read Cursed yet, but I really enjoyed this fic without any prior knowledge of its universe. You gave Neville many interesting layers. Great writing.

Oh, thanks so much! I love Neville, too--he's my favorite--so I was so glad when Myth challeneged me to write this. I can't wait to see what's round the bend for him, either!

This little snippet is a wonderful sample into a man that is stronger and more noble than I think he realizes. It gives a lovely perspective into his thoughts and feelings about the news that the wireless was broadcasting. It's concise, well-written, and conveys feelings that I'm sure others in the Wizarding World felt at the news.

Well done!

*hugs*

This is really heartwarming. I can tell you have a soft spot for Neville because it shows in how you write him and the other characters around him. I hope there's more to this story. If not, I look forward to more of your Neville Longbottom adventures in your other stories. As always, your writing is engaging and inspiring to read.

Thanks, Arnel.

I hadn't originally planned on writing more, but now that I think about it, there may be some more story to tell. It's interesting writing fanfic of fanfic, though, because now I'm not only constrained by JKR's universe, I'm also constrained by Myth's. That's part of why I stopped where I did--I don't know Cursed canon as well as I know HP canon, so I didn't know how far to go.

I'm in the process of writing a one-shot featuring Neville as a child as he learns that he's good at Herbology (I'm about halfway done with that, I think, unless it goes longer than I expect), so there will be more Neville from me in the relatively near future.

What a wonderful read. I would have liked more, but I was very happy with what you gave us. I think Blossoming is a very apt description for Neville.

Now I'm off to rec it

*blushes* Thanks! (And thanks for the rec!)

I may have to write more, now that Myth has given us more to the story. But I was afraid that I'd end up re-writing thw whole of Cursed from Neville's POV and I don't think I'm prepared to do that (and I could never in a million years do justice to the action that she writes). Plus, it's a little difficult writing in someone else's universe like this. Which, I know, sounds stupid from a fanfic writer, but it's not like I'm ever going to get an e-mail from JKR telling me she doesn't like the direction I'm taking her story/characters. But I have almost daily interaction with Asli, so that could be a real possibility from her. (I doubt it, but it's possible.)

Very well done. Neville is a good person so it is interesting to see how he is doing.

Hee. Thanks! I fangirl Neville to the point of being almost obsessive, and I really wanted to see what he thought of the news that Harry might be alive. It helps that Myth set it up so perfectly.

Words can't express how wonderful I think this snippet is. You have taken Neville's character and cultivated him perfectly to fit with the events of Cursed. It's a refreshing and thrilling example of how I would hope old friends to react to the news divulged in Chapter 21.

Neville is also exactly how I would imagine him. Not unharmed, but still strengthened by his ordeals. melancholy over hte loss of a friend, but at the same time thrilled and desperate to know for certain if Harry has truly returned to them.

Thank you, Aggiebel, for doing what I never could, and lettting Neville blossom

You don't know how good that makes me feel, to "hear" you say that. I still owe you a huge thanks for suggesting that I write this in the first place, especially because it does seem to have jump-started my muse.

*smooches you*

This little piece was well-written, but it seemed to stop too abruptly for me. I would have liked to have heard a bit more of the speculation with Susan and what it meant to Neville that Harry was alive. I would be very happy if you were to write another chapter or two as the story progresses with Neville and/or other characters that have no place in Cursed but who are out there. Good job on this though. =0)

Hi, KJ!

Thanks for reviewing. I have to admit that it stops a bit too abruptly to me, too. I wrote this right after I read Cursed chapter 21, so I didn't have enough information to figure out any more of what happened. Of course, that doesn't explain why I didn't write more after I got more chapters. I was afraid that if I tried to explain more that it would end up being huge, and I didn't want to speculate *too* much on where Myth is taking Cursed, so I stopped before I got myself into trouble.

I hadn't thought about writing more, but now that you mention it... It might be interesting to see what Neville and Susan think about the Wraithkin. I just don't think I could write them nearly as well as Myth does.

Seriously, I think I might write more of their reaction to the news, because I can see Neville wanting to go see for himself but then doubting whether or not he should. And it would be interesting to see a conversation between Neville and Ron or Hermione... *ponders*

Myth has also asked me to be her "Neville consultant" if Marlow decides that Neville needs to be part of the story (because we all know that Marlow is in charge of the story, Myth is just the channel that's allowing it to be told ), so you may be seeing more of him later in the actual story.

Thanks again (and if you've got any ideas about where else I could go with this, feel free to e-mail or PM me!)
