Getting Over Harry Potter
I really like this chapter. It looks like Colin has a tallent for divination. Of course Trellany isn't completely incompetent. Looks like even the future sees Ginny dealing with a certain Gryfindor! I look forward to the next chapter. p

Who knew that Colin had the makings of a Seer? Thanks.

Haha. That's great. Bugger. Those stupid lightning bolts and the forheads they are connected to. Love it. I love the way you portray Ginny.

Glad you're liking this Ginny. She's very fun to write.

Interesting turn with the tea leaves (Tasseomancy). Nice touch with the lightning bolt.

Hi GryffindorDragon. I had fun looking up the meanings of the random shapes in tea leaf reading. Glad you enjoyed it.

Bugger, indeed. But if it's so clearly defined that even an unbelieving Ginny can see it, why did Trelawney not see it? Or is it only what she wants to see? Does the lack of oxygen take its toll?

Hi critmo. Yep, years of inhaling incense and drinking tea leaves have permanently damaged Professor Trelawney's eyesight - and probably her kidneys too. Maybe Colin's manipulation of the cup after Trelawney left them made another pattern? Thanks for reading!

I loved this!! Loved this!! 10 out of 10. Lord, I needed some feel good reading. All the humor in this -- so witty and spot on -- bravo.

Favorite lines:
I figured that was the closest I was going to get to his bits, so I wasn\'t going to waste the opportunity.\"

There, beginning from the rim and cutting right through to the bottom of the cup, was a clearly defined lightning bolt.
Bugger

You capture Ginny perfectly -- and Harry\'s polite regard of her. I also felt like a young girl reading all the laughter and giggling.

Your use of proper \"British\" English is far better than mine -- can you help me?

Can not wait until the next chapter -- how many more?

Hi hwimsey. Liked 's remark about 's bits, eh? I'd grab the opportunity too, if I were Ginny!

I'm quite flattered that you think I do British English - especially since I'm not British. I have to thank Sherry, my PS beta for catching all my Americanisms when they do escape. I don't know why you think you need help though, my dear, considering that your writing is quite fabulous! But I'd be honored to help you in any way that I can, plus I get to take a peek at your next chapters! Feel free to contact me through my e-mail.

As to how many chapters left, there are about 9 or 10 more. I'll try to update as soon as possible. Thanks again.

Ahahahah! LOL I really loved this chapter; particularly Trlawney's suggestion that Ginny do that ritual naked, and the whole y-fronts conversation!

Brilliant work! You had me rolling on the floor once again!
Can't wait for the update!

This was very amusing. Poor Ginny and Hermione on their quest to get the clueless ones to do more than just notice them. Harry seems more than a bit interested already.

The whole Trelawney segment was memorable.

Hi Grandma Kate. I'm happy that you found Trelawney and her predictions memorable. She does kind of leave you with a lasting impression. Thanks for the review.

Hi Leoknee. Thanks for the review. I'm happy to serve as comic relief, frustrated comedienne that I am.

\"It made for an unsettling sight — images seemed wobbly and indistinct, and Ginny often felt like she was floating in some kind of weird underwater milieu.\"

What a lovely line! Your language gets more silky with each chapter.

I love this bit at the end with the predictions. I\'ve often wondered if Rowling is actually subtly implying that Trelawney\'s little predictions are real... a lot of weird coincidences occur. I am really enjoying this story. I\'m biting my fingernails to see if Ginny does the cleansing thingy and Harry just HAPPENS to be taking a walk by the lake at the time. Eep!

Hi ElvenLaughter. Silky, eh? That sounds nice. Erm, no naked cleansing rituals planned at the moment. I might get banned from the site as I won't be responsible for "interactions" that might arise from such an encounter! Thanks for reading.

HA! That last line had me rolling! It just perfectly sums up what Ginny is feeling right at that moment--no long rants, no lengthy expressions of panic or exasperation. Just slightly irritated resignation--like heaving a gusty sigh and slumping back in her chair while rolling her eyes and smirking ever so slightly. This is a very entertaining read. It's nice to have some lighthearted fluff interspersed with the heavier dramas and mysteries that I am reading on this site. Keep up the great work!

Hi meddymo. I don't think I could write a heavy drama even if you were holding me underwater without any gillyweed. So, I only do lighthearted fluff, as you can tell. I'm glad you liked this chapter, and the last line. Thank you again.
