hi i just wanted to say that you have outdone yourself !! i thought j k rowling was good...man you kick !! the reason for this is you have taken things to another level/dimension/hight that she didnt. her books were so defeating voldeemort orientated hardly anything went on between ginny and harry in book 7 to be honest i was a little dissapointed.

I'm amazed to say this is starting to get profound. That's one description I never thought I'd be using for this particular story, but I guess that's another element of your writing that's been waiting to come out in this story. Like I said about the last chapter, you seem to have it all covered at some point.
It's been obvious for a long time that you weren't going to hold back from attacking any of the flaws in Jo's universe, deliberate or otherwise. But it was pretty impressive to see Harry openly declare war on all of the biases of the wizarding world in this last scene. It's a statement of Harry's power and leadership -- and of the power of cooperation -- that's starting to tie together what you've obviously been trying to accomplish since the beginning. I'll be interesting to see it play out to the end.
It's also become evident that Harry's literally going to provide some kind of invaluable boost to everyone who supports him. Of course, that's been the case almost since the beginning, too, but when you got to the Thomases and Dudley it stopped being subtle and started to feel a bit more like Harry's being good just for the sake of being good or to .
If I've got a complaint, it's that. The plot's starting to feel a little bit white and black -- you're a friend or you're an enemy. With the final showdown looming, I find that understandable, but I think some of the levity (which I still think is the greatest aspect of this story) might have been lost in the process.
Still, all the pieces are in place now and this promises to be an incredible finish. I can't wait to see what you've got in story for the battle and the quidditch match. With all the buildup you've done they promise to be outstanding.
And that's not to say there weren't some very clever bits to this chapter. The Veela Bible discussion was hilarious and I rather enjoyed the way you didn't pass up a chance to torment the Dursleys. On the whole, your writing remends clever and enjoyable.
Looking forward to the big finish!

I love your story and am so glad you came back to it, your making something close to a super hero out of harry, or something akin to King Arthur and the ideas that Camalot stood for in a world of inky blackness with few stars to dream. I must say I had not read your story in so long I went back to re-read it before I read this chapter to get back into the story and was sad to see it end. I hope you provide us with another chapter sometime, as this story really needs to continue. Harry is taking care of the world to build it not in his image, or twist it to his will, as he could so easilly do, no he is building a world for others and sacrificing himself and maybe his dreams so that other can dream. I will look forward to the next (and final?) chapter like I do with JKR, with hope but with a sense of sadness of ending a great story. I couldn't put it any better then that.Great job,update soon. |

| That was wow!I had actually 1st read your story on fanfiction.net and you won't believe how many times I'v read those 9 chapters over & over again,I enjoyed them so much!And that I'v come across your story here again(although by accident)I'm so happy I found it!Both parts of chap.10 were so good!I love how your story has the perfect pace & how its headed.Although I do have a suggestion or a request if you may-I wish Harry wont be so dominating kinds all the time.I do understand that his character requires him to be a leading force,and its funny when instances like that happen but after a while it gets a tad awkward,like when he gets a little forward and comanding with his seniors like Dumbledore or Remus or Sev. | Thw werewolf idea was great. And Ginny as an animagus. Wow. And a wolf no less. Snape's treatment to the Dursleys was priceless. And Narcissa suducing Harry. Haha. That was great. Harry in outerspace with a dragon....nice. And he now had the werewolves, goblins, and dragons on his side. Plus, some of Voldemort's inner circle. Harry is totally going to win in the Final Battle. I bet he will get the mermaids, Americans, and hopefully some of the giants. |

Oh yeah, this is supposed to be a review... Very nice, I really enjoy your story's pace and plotting, and we are not even there yet. The Oath of Fealty at the end... Did you mean to write that as an Oath? Because that is what you did. In this day and age of facile words such Oaths and their meanings have been forgotten.
One of the things that bothers me about the canon story is after Harry jams the Dark Tosser's head on a pike, and lays waste to every Death Eater in existance, the structural and societal (?) problems of her Wizarding world remain. I wonder if she will address it? Even Molly Weasley is a Mugglephobe. She has never mingled with the Grangers while in Arthur's company. I am sure the canon character would feel insulted that I said that. She would probably point out to me she even has a friend who is Muggle.
I can be patient for next Thursday, or the Thursday after. They both come before 21 July. |
