I loved this chapter. It was very fresh and a original view written on magical chocalates and kneazles. I have only read Chapter 24 and then went back to the beginning. I am on tenterhooks waiting for the next installments much like when I discovered The New Zealand Chronicles. My work suffered because of my obessive compulsion to check for updates many times a day.

Those are some rather interesting chocolates, there..... :-)

Seems that their relationship may just have weathered that bit of turbulence. :-)

Well done.

I only found Phoenix Song a couple of months ago.
I have become a firm fan, but am trying to read only Completed works as I HATE waiting for 'the next bit'.
However I started Twelve Months last night and read until 2am, (waking for work this morning VERY bleary-eyed I might add), and can't wait for the rest.
I love the 'real life' quality of the story.
I also have the rest of your stories to read while I try to wait patiently for the next instalment.
Kind regards

Chocolate is my favorite food group and Lindt dark chocolate is one of my favorite members of that group. Too bad these romance chocolates aren’t available to us lowly muggles.

You made me happy because this crazy couple is finally talking and listening to each other! Probably only something as drastic as getting them outside themselves, letting them fight it out and then have some fun, would get them to be reasonable and loving to each other again. It’s still a long way, but thanks for finally getting them on the right road.

I'm no fan of chocolate, but as I'm married with two teenage daughters I'm well aware of the pleasures of chocolate

My initial intention with this chapter was to write a long - probably chapter long - argument/discussion between them. And then when I started writing, Ginny started to eat the chocolates and my imagination began to wander.

Thanks for sticking with them this far

And FINALLY, I get to read the update... two weeks past its' original posting....

LOL - I very interesting way to "come to terms" - transforming into cats and fighting it out. : )

I think that you caught the emotion and the "if-then-what" progression of arguments... the anger simmering just below, and then getting angrier because the other side doesn\'t know what's going on. I can remember a few fights in my past like that... now that I think about it.

I could only imagine what was going through Arthur and Molly's minds on the talk they\'d have to have with Ginny and Harry....

Be interesting to see where we go from here. Definitely feels like we're at a major turning point... how the kiddies take it from here will be eye-opening.

Finally

You're right, it is a major turning point, but the question is where will they turn?

Thanks for reviewing.

This is very good. Harry and Ginny are really sharing their real thoughts. That is so important to building the kind of trust that will make their marriage strong. They will end up getting married and these trials now will make that life that much better than it would have been. Thanks for writing. I look forward to more of this story. p

Its interesting to see that you are certain that they will end up married. Other readers aren't quite to sure.

Once again, thanks for all the reviews you've left.

I just read the first 25 chapters of your story, and i must say i'm really enjoying it. It is vastly different than other stories. I look forward to reading the rest of this story. And on another note, how many chapters do you have planed?
Monday 17th September 2007 00:15Twelve Months (Author Response)
Hi. I can't tell you how many chapters I have planned because I don't know. The original idea was one per month but that was three years ago.

Feb 2000 was supposed to be one chapter and has turned into three.

Thanks for reading and reviewing.

I am always amazed how grown-up all the characters are in the stories I read here. I think the probelms your Harry and Ginny come across are quite usual ones and I am realy curious how they will end up together and what will happen inbetween. I thougth at the end of DH it was kind of akward that Harry and Ginny did not even had a talk for half a year and will end up happyily ever after 19 years later - that´s nonsense. Life is not like that, especially how the character of Ginny was created as a power-girl (which ended up sitting at home). So I really enjoy your story! Hope to read soon more!

I though at the end of DH it was kind of akward that Harry and Ginny did not even had a talk for half a year and will end up happily ever after 19 years later - that´s nonsense.

19 years is a long time and it doesn't seem strange at all to me. Perhaps I have a bit more faith that if you love each other and are prepared to work at it you can achieve great things.

I'm glad you're enjoying the story and hopefully you'll see more soon.

Great chapter, it was quite intense in a not so intense way, if that makes any sense to you at all. I really like your writing. I'm glad that Harry and Ginny are finally making some real progress. Great job!

I finally caught up to chapter 25 today. Been hectic and tiresome at school so this is a really nice break to read 24 and 25 together.

I'm glad to see the progression of this story going so well. It's nice to see that at least Harry and Ginny are speaking together, despite how they got there in the first place. After all the end justifies the means so whatever it takes. Looking forward to the actual proposal- hope Ginny says 'yes' this time.

Keep up the good work.

Those chocolates were brilliant. I loved H & G turning into cats. I think that turned the tide for them. By going back to basic instinct in the form of the cats they certainly 'cleared' their minds of the anger.

I really enjoyed this chapter. I'm glad they're back on track, even if Ginny feels she's not yet ready to say YES!

Well, I have just taken the time to read all of this massive digital tome, and it honestly is one of the best fan fictions, if not the best, that I have read. Being that it is now circa March 1st in the story, I know we have 5 1/2 months of action left, and I am anxious to see what comes next. Though, I do hope there are no more multiple-month breaks, not to mention my greater wish of not having multi-week breaks. However, I'm certain any time will be worth it. Just please, keep your muse satiated and thus the chapters coming.

Thank you for taking the time to review

The story hasn't yet made the end of Feb yet, so there's a bit longer to go than you thought.

The next chapter is plotted but I'm struggling to sit down and write what is needed. Other projects are calling me and there are health issues to consider too.

I can promise you that you will not have to wait 7 months for the next chapter, but its going to be the end of the month before the next one appears.

Once again, thanks for taking the time to read and to review.

The story is all in all great, this chapter is fine, but all in all the story is really good, honeslty there are some chapters in JKR, which do not make much sense but the as whole they ar great. do not get discourage, I jsut finish reading it, sinceI found some time to do it, kid going back to school and all. Yummy. Excellent way to start the morning, reading this chapter whilst the rest of the house is still asleep. I never expected the chocolates to be conjured but you made it work so well. Such ideas. You must be a very interesting person to live with

The sensitivity of the journey is so well done. Chapeau

Now that is some chocolate! This is a chapter where there has been a monumental leap forward within Harry and Ginny's relationship. As a reader, I believe it came just at the right time - more despair between the two would have felt like there was no hope at all for them.
Cheers.

There's always hope for Harry and Ginny, especially when they give time to each and listen.

I'd send you some chocolate as a thank you for reviewing but I think Molly has them all.

I think this is my favourite chapter so far - I love it

I liked the chat at the end, very sweet - it's time they started being more honest with each other about exactly what they do want and just not say what they think the other wants to hear

The chat at the end was a last minute thing after Rachael said that she thought the ending was a little abrupt.

Harry and Ginny never had a courtship before. Taking things nice and easy is going to make for a happier ending.

I'm not sure that they can do nice and slow, but it was good for them to take a break whilst she is/was recovering.

*blinks*

Those chocolates were...interesting. But I really like how they helped Harry and Ginny work through some of their emotions and allow them to get to the point that they could work on their problems.

I think Ginny's reaction is mostly what I was expecting (I was wondering about how she was feeling after chapter 24). I don't know if I really expected her to be angry, but once I read it, it made perfect sense. They *both* hurt each other, didn't they? I like that they're working towards forgiveness together, and that they got that bit of courtship.

I think one of the things that I really appreciate about this story is that it shows how much hard work and effort really needs to go into a relationship to make it work. Granted, we don't all have to deal with problems at the magnitude that Harry and Ginny do in 12M (and thank God for that!), but there are still times, in every relationship, where it's not all sunlight and roses...where it's hard and it hurts, but if you get through it, you're so much stronger together . I think that's a concept missing from a lot of fics out there.

Great job, Richard. I can see the hope more clearly now, and the happy-ending lover in me is glad.

Thanks again for reviewing.

I must admit to being nervous about the way I had them work out their differences but I think it worked out ok in the end.

They still have more work to do but doesn't there come a point where you have to stop waiting for everything to be right and go with it?

Great job, Richard. I can see the hope more clearly now, and the happy-ending lover in me is glad.

It always amuses me to be thought as someone who doesn't have happy endings
