Wow - I've never read a story from the point of view of Fawkes (Firesong) and I'm not sure I ever will again, so kudos on creative thought. So well written - you really have a great ability to write each character in their own voice.

After HBP I thought about the idea of Fawkes adopting Harry and was surprised to never see it in any of the fan fiction I read - I don't consider myself an original thinker. I am glad to see something maybe happening along those lines there - and so much better done than my own imaginings!

Very enjoyable again. I like to read from *ahem* Firesong's pov every now and then.

:-D

Fawkes/Firesong really was a fascinating character to explore. I was happy that he kept popping up... And trust that he will continue to do so!

Thanks so much!

Writing from Fawkes/Firesong's perspective was such a blast—trying to imagine what it would be like to have fourteen thousand years of memories and love and loss...

In any case, I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

This is excellent. Luna's perspective is very abstract, strange and haunting. As it should be.

I love the history of Fawkes and how he shares his story with Harry. Looking forward to more.

Thanks so much! Obviously, I had a lot of fun playing around with the points of view in this fic—I'm glad that they worked for you.

Oh, I like it! You've really given us a sense of Fawkes's sorrow. Very well done!

Thanks!

I have to say, the more I thought about Fawkes as I was writing this, the more amazing I realized the story must be...

I wish JKR had brought him back for DH, but, hey, It's not as if she didn't have plenty there to begin with. ;-)
