I. LOVE. YOU.

Snily becoming canon was the thing that pissed me off second-worst in DH (first and foremost was Tonks & Remus' death, particularly because I had just given birth a few weeks before to my 2nd child and I wanted to hurt them for even THINKING about being on the battle field with a baby at home). Remove those two parts of the last book and I actually like it about third out of the series (HBP has a very special place in my heart as I was listening to the audiobook while in labor with kid #2 - there is video of me reciting along with the Diagon Alley scene while in early labor). Oh, yeah, and the Epilogue was a bit annoying, but I can live with it (and within it's confines. SUCH a OBHWF nut as I am, I bear in mind that H/G and R/H are not past childbearing age at that point...).

Thank you so much for this fabulous fic, it really brightened my day.

Haha, love it. I know Snape ended up being "good" in the end, rather ambiguously, but he was still a right and arrogant git most of his life. Now all he can do is remember that!

Very nice. Excellently written, with a hope of redemption at the end for the scum-bag. I liked it!

Very well-written. I enjoyed it, though I guess I have never felt a strong need to inflict revenge on Snape, I would have thought his life was enough penance. But I'm sure it felt cathartic to write this.
Tuesday 29th January 2008 22:14Eternity (Author Response)
I don't know, I feel less angry towards Snape now, then I did when I wrote this. Snape killing Dumbledore was my low point in the book. Even if it was a wink wink understanding between them, I still can't get past Dumblefore dying that way in front of Harry.

I feel less angry towards Snape now than I did when I wrote this, so maybe it was cathartic in some sense.

hahaha! You have to enjoy an author who isn't afraid to say exactly what a story was abou in the A/Ns. Fine story, but the A/N had me laughing out loud!

So good. Justice, with the promise of release after correction. Snape was a nasty piece of business who should have been able to mature and get past his own childhood.

Well written and great plot idea.

loved the story, Snape was a character which was needed in the book but I never got any sympathy for him. So I think this story serves him right.

Thanks. I've got more sympathy for him now, but I'm still annoyed with him.

i like it.
however i dont think lily would be too resentful. yes snape hurt her, and ridiculed harry, but he also saved harry in her memory, and harry couldnt have survived or defeated voldemort without his input. and he did all he could to keep her alive, even risk his life.
having said that i think its a good plot

I don't know, I definitely couldn't see her forgiving him easily. That much pain is too difficult to wash away.

But who knows. This is just one possibility. It doesn't make it the only one.

Thank for the read and the insight.

So Severus finally pays for the sins of his life. This was very well done. I like the fact that he is not tortured phsically. He is without pain in his body which he had to endure most of his life. That is good but he has to pay with his regrets over the choices he made in his life. That is true Hell! Living with all the regrets over the bad choices we made in our lives.

Thanks for writing. p

that was cool but i don't really get it...
whatever, it was good.
just... can you let out? let him have some happiness? he WAS good in the end, you know! and i do love him!
Tuesday 13th November 2007 22:54Eternity (Author Response)
I'm not sure what you don't get. Snape died and went to the afterlife. Lily was laying in wait for him after years of watching him mistreat her son. Because Snape never repayed the life debt he owed James Potter for saving his life, his full admittance into the afterlife is controlled by James. James will release Snape only if Harry tells him to.

I think that's it... I assume he'll get out when Harry arrives in the afterlife. As for happiness, I'm not sure how Snape would find true happiness even in the afterlife.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, I'm glad you it, Even if I did leave Snape locked in a room with nothing but his memories.

I loved it! I do think that Snape got off a little too easy in my story but that was how it wanted to be written. Thanks for letting us all have a little revenge. Great job!
Tuesday 13th November 2007 22:50Eternity (Author Response)
Hey, Lantis, I'm glad you liked it.

I was actually waiting to hear what you thought of it. It's a little harsh, but I wanted Snape to face the music after all those years reading about him treating Harry poorly.

Thanks for reading and reviewing as always.

Mwuahaha - excellent. I like your revenge! It's very fitting.
I especially like this bit:
"Time will pass much more quickly if you focus on the positive."
It makes me laugh, (in an evil manner), because he's probably afraid he doesn't have enough positive memories to focus on in order to pass the time!

Glad you enjoyed it. It's nice to finally get some revenge. I wasn't satisfied with him never having to face the music for torturing Harry.

A fitting end for Snape. I know Harry will probably take the compassionate approach but I'm hoping Snape has a really, really long time to wait.

Thanks for writing.

Hi Legobean.
I love it! Did you ever read Satre? You make your own hell! Great!
Tuesday 13th November 2007 17:43Eternity (Author Response)
I am not familiar with Satre, being the uncultured lout that I am. However this particular hell seem particulary well suited for Snape. Someone who had done so much for both the good and the bad, and had such a desperate need to let Harry know the truth that he would use his final moment to give Harry those memories, would undoubtedly find it hellish to have to spend enternity remembering his own misdeeds. Snape is not supposed to be in hell here, he's just not in a particularly pleasant version of the afterlive.

So in a way i guess he did make a hell for himself.

Anyway thanks for the review!

"They" say that revenge is sweet. Now all he has to do is wait for Harry, because being Harry, he will forgive him. I just can,t figure someone as brilliant as Lily even liking, let alone gasp! loving a creature like Jk depicted Snape to be. Great one shot.
Tuesday 13th November 2007 16:41Eternity (Author Response)
It does seem strange. But then again, people don't love those best suited to them, the love the people they love. Maybe Lily saw someone she needed to help, she just eventually had to give up, when he proved incapable of changing. Thanks for the reveiw!

An excellent read. I love Lily's fiery temper in this piece and almost feel sorry for Snape... but can't quite muster enough sympathy. I enjoyed reading your story.
Tuesday 13th November 2007 16:38Eternity (Author Response)
Yes, Snape can prove quite difficult to love. I still can't bring myself to think of him positively after so many years of despising him. Guess that led me to torture him

Thanks for the review as always Arnel. Very much appreciated.

A/N: Muhahahahahaha!!! Finally, I get my revenge!
And very good revenge it is, too -- and thoroughly deserved by its recipient. You can count me among those who think the quasi-whitewash of that JKR did in DH was an utter travesty. Unfortunately, after the way she had Harry's attitude to Snivellus change (for no good reason that I could see), I think that he'll probably let the greasy git out once he joins the other characters -- but that won't be for some time, and a century or two of reflection on his sins will do Snape some good.
Tuesday 13th November 2007 16:36Eternity (Author Response)
Yes, I was left a bit dissatisfied by the Severus story line. I still am, really, it just doesn't make sense. There was just no reason for him to be so vicerally mean to Harry prior to Volemort's return, unless he was just a bad guy. I found it a bit hallow that he'd been working to help Harry all these years while continuing to torture him.

Oh, I really enjoyed this. I'm so glad to see James and Lily allowed to take some retribution for the way Snape treated Harry. I'm sure Harry will forgive him when he gets there, but here's hoping that's a long, long time away.

Nicely done.
