Love the way the publicity is going. Rita is again publishing stuff in the Quibbler, and probably getting paid for it this time.
Glad the Weasley's "forced" Harry to bring Bill into the picture. His suspicions were definitely in line with his experience and intelligence. You can't be stupid and be a Curse-breaker, and the fact he works for Gringotts and Goblins would give him more than a few hints that Harry wasn't a normal 13 yr old. Another good sign for Harry is his recognition of wanting to control everything because of his foreknowledge. He has already recognized that things have changed and will continue to do so and that he needs to stop trying to control everything before he drives himself into an insane parnoid. Not that he hasn't done a good job at doing that already.
Wonder what our ol' buddy Wormtail is up to? No good for sure. But what is Voldy trying to accomplish? Hmmmnnnnn
Canon is great, but you are writing your own story. If readers/fans are not happy that you aren't writing the same story and/or timeline in the series they should go read the series again. I've read it more than a dozen times but I love reading what other writers have come up with and the way they have imagined Harry's world. |

I really like this story. I have read alot of time travel stories recently, and I have to say that this is one of the best. I like that you didn't have Harry immediately fix everything. All the stories where Harry suddenly fixes everything and everything works out perfectly seem convuluted. I can't wait to read what comes next.

Hi there!
I started reading this story some time this past summer. I stayed up all night and cut my 8 am calc. class because I just couldn't stop reading.
Recently a friend of mine emailed me a link to this story and told me it was completely kick and that I had to read it. Obviously I couldn't help myself and had to read on. Again, no sleep for me until I had re-read the entire thing.
I'm not going to tell you to update faster because I'm sure you have a life beyond catering to your readers and I can appreciate that. The chapters you've posted since this summer are amazing and I just wanted to commend you on how well you write and on how you really draw people into the plot.
I can't wait to keep reading your work and I hope you enjoy writing it as much as I enjoy reading!

| I just found this story a couple days ago and had trouble stopping each day and I couldn't wait to start again the next. I just finished the last written chapter and needed to leave a review. I want to tell you that I think it was written exceptionally well. I like that although Harry made efforts to solidify his friendships from the very begining you didn't rush the relationships. I liked that even with all the stuff from the future you still let them act and grow as adolescents. In whole I have to say I love this story. I can't wait for the next chapter. |

The only canon error that I can think of that I have come across so far is that it wasn't Fudge that let the Death Eaters go free. I believe in POA while Fudge is telling the story of Sirius Black in the Three Broomsticks, he mentions he was something like a Junior Secreteary in the DMLE or something. He said he was first on the scene and Sirius was just laughing.
However, feel free to prove me wrong, I can't seem to find the book right now, for some reason, I keep thinking that perhaps my dog had used it as a chew toy. I have little flickers of finding a shredded paperpack novel in my bathroom with Har- tter- Pris- ban and other things like that all over.
But then again, perhaps the penguins took it.
I have a theory that the reason why everyone thinks Fudge himself did this was because JK herself forgot what Fudge said in the book and implicated him as such. But if I'm wrong then I'm just a blithering idiot and ignore the ramblings of an insane insomniac
Also, beware the matadors, because the penguins are coming.

Hey just wondering if you were ok, cuz you havent updated in months. I just hope you havent given up or anything, because I just LOVE it and I really really want to finish reading it. Only thing i found a bit off, was that Hagrid isn't very important in it, though hardly anybody does give him a very important part, but he was really important in the books up to book 7. Its just something to consider that's all, i no dat u hav to sumarise around seven years in 1 story, so u cant put in everything. The other thing is that I'm really sad that basically Dumbledore and Harry almost hate each other in this story, i hope they grow close later! So anyway cant wait til the next chapter!

I found this fanfic about 1-2 weeks ago while i was looking at the top 10 lists for longest, and most reviewed stories, and every single minute sinse then i have spent reading it, i am actually suffering from sleep loss!! But i actually love this story!! i was actually resistant (is that the right word :s) to read the last chapter as i didnt want to run out of the story and be left waiting, when i saw the last update was in november i thought it had been abandoned!! i was actually gutted, but then i looked at the previous chapter and i realised you must spend so much time perfecting each and every wonderful chapter. i dont know how i can write how much i love this story but everytime i leave the house i leave the computer on the story screen so the moment i come again i can begin reading it again, there is just one question i want to ask... in the very first chapter (i think) it says harry drops his wand in the way of the thing i dnooo what its called (the time travel stuff) and just wondering how he still travelled...there is proberly a perfectly good explanation for this but im just curious. Anyway im chatting on a bit but i actually love the idea and the story writing and well just everything, please please please do not abandon this it is to good!! oh yeah just one last question... a few reviewers have mentioned AU, am i really think because i dont know what it means :s. Soryy but i just remembered another question...sorry ... well anyway, why is harry not telling dumbledore!! they got on so well before and now they just dont and its actually really sad and guttening (if thats a word) well thats just my opinion its your story!! Anyway, yeah its really good hope you write more and i hope you dont mind me writing a review as you have mentioned to write on viridian_dreams but as soon as i finished i had to write it all down!! anyway keep on writing!!!

I totally agree that perfect heroes are a smidgen boring, albeit i do love when harry kicks some tail as you could call it. i look forward to your next chapter as always, and continue to pray that your muse remains with you, as this has officially beaten out everything, phoenixsong gryffindortower (yes im old) mugglenet or the sugarquill has to offer. (not that the other stories aren't great) its just the appeal that yours has is wonderfull. i like the fact that in some sort of way Harry LOST-THE-GAME as it could be put, and is trying to rectify that in any means he can, willing to sacrifice himself and so forth. i can only hope, you decide to continue through the full seven years (yes i know its asking too much) or at least do some sort of time jump between school years, so harry is at least 15-18 when he has his big confrontations, id love to see what you do with him physically (tall bigger, stronger this time?) as well as emotionally him being a teenager, no longer too little for romance (a 13year old... is just entering that realm) amongst other things. I have no real criticisms as i feal wherever you go with this, it is so far going Gold at least as far as the fanfiction community seems to be concerned. now if only i could find some way to pay you to work on this instead of a real job.....

I have been reading this fanfic for about a month now, and it is AWESOME!!This is my first review, so its going to have to count for 35 chapters of brilliance.
I was so desperate to keep reading that I ended up downloading some e-reader software for my phone to read at school!! Result-not talking to friends at all last week!
I love your idea-its like reading the books again but without constantly thinking "If he hadn't done that then sirius would be alive, if he hadnt done that then voldemort wouldnt have come back..."
Originally I thought that this was a completed work and was worried about how much you'd have to wrap up in three or four chapters...I was happy for a day when I looked at the status
My only comment would be more fluff but then that wouldn't make sense considering they're only 13.
The sinister 'agent' in hogwarts means that the reader is always on edge, in the meantime plot development booms-a truly spectacular piece of work that I will reccomend(force) others to read |

seriously...this story is great, just that everyone has to wait a long time before its updated.
This is really one of the best AUs in phoenixsong. Because of the slow update, I forgot many of the happenings in previous chapters so i re-read the whole story again. I have done it 4 times so far and i am still captivated by this story. Good job
The storyline and plot are wonderfully creative!!

Thank you for the great Thanksgiving gift! I'm so excited and I really enjoyed the chapter (well, the whole story really).
I think Harry's reaction to the Weasley's springing Bill on him was really natural. Harry's been controlling all this-it's hard to give up control. Plus, he's used to keeping secrets. The Weasley's on the other hand, are not used to keeping secrets--especially not from each other. It is only natural that they want to bring the whole family in on the program as soon as possible-and probably thought Harry would realize that too. It's their different perspectives coming through. It's great. Now, how about a Chanukah gift? and Christmas? and New Years?.....Thanks again for feeding our habit. |

This is simply a GREAT story. I like the "Bill" perspective. Someone in his business would have some sort of network to pull information from. For him to say Harry's story made sense should be a warning to everyone that they are being watched. I am still waiting to see if Harry's slip about training at Hermione's will be used against them. Of course I'd like an update every week but quality like this takes the time it takes.

| How excited was I when I recieved my email update? EXTREMELY!!!!!! Unfortunately I then had to sit through a two hour governors meeting before I could come home and read it badmood:. I have to say that it has been worth the wait. I love the way that the story is evolving and the characters are taking on different attitudes as they face different challenges in the new time line. I must also not that I found the Author Notes very funny and I have absolutely no complaints as I too get fed up with perfect heroes! If you fancy making the next chapter a bit of an epic then I will not complain?! Keep up the good work and please include Bill as often as possible as I think I am starting to fall in love with his calm yet commanding personality Overall rating for this chapter and the story so far |

Yay! I get to be the first review! Anyway. As always your story once again confirms my choice for favorite story I've ever read. I really enjoy experiencing the various character interactions you come up with, such as the Harry and McGonagall "media ethics" talk that took place. As you said, we may not all agree with how someone reacts to a situation, be it Harry or anyone else, but then again all people react differently for their own reasons. I don't always understand why my friends and family react to things certain ways just as I assume they don't get me either.
Now, that being said, I was just curious about the whole reacting badly to being cornered with Bill thing. Im with Harry on that they should have told him about it, but I can understand why he would temper his reaction. But they know he has an adult mind at least in part, why wouldnt he at least consult him next time? I just kinda thought it was odd how he just ignored it after calming down.
Otherwise I only saw a single error in the whole story and it was a simple type-o.

So, as always, thanks again for sharing your amazing world and I look forward to your next installment. |
