Brilliant. And wonderful, and deeply moving. Thankyou. |

That was so sad!!!! I always imagined Ginny and Harry dieing (?) at the same time because they seemed so much in love that one couldn't go on without the other, so they would just loose the will to live and go through the next great adventure together |
majolie Wednesday 26th March 2008 08:07 | All Was Well |
Absolutely beautiful. I've read a few other stories around Ginny's death and some of them quite moved me ... but this really had me in tears, even with the surge of joy and wonder at the very end.
And I love that sonnet - it's one of my favorites. |
juliet Saturday 22nd March 2008 21:44 | All Was Well |
absolutely brilliant imagery throughout this entire story. Thankyou so much for writing and sharing with us |
santafe Friday 21st March 2008 15:02 | All Was Well |
Definitely like this, though it moves me a great deal - I must be getting soft in my old age. |

This made me cry! And i'm not one for crying.
Its so sweet how they are still together even when they die. Aww i'm gonna have to read it again. Well done!

Very fitting that even Death wouldn't be able to come between Harry & Ginny. Well done. |

Beautiful. 10/10. |

You made me cry. I loved every moment of it. Bravo! |
BaileyIC Thursday 13th March 2008 15:01 | All Was Well |
Really beautiful.
However, I thought wizards/witches had rather long life spans. 100 to 150 years. |

Not all of them, obviously. |
Enchantedgurls Thursday 13th March 2008 10:43 | All Was Well |
So James' son Ron...His grandmother is dying and he doesn't even care. Wow. That's not just a troublemaker, that's much more of a problem.
Anyway, very touching story. I really enjoyed it! |
the_critic Wednesday 12th March 2008 18:52 | All Was Well |
Um, I take in the Ron mention was a younger generation Ron and not Ronald Weasly as we know him? |
Wednesday 12th March 2008 20:33 | All Was Well (Author Response) |
Hence the remark about "troublemaking sons". As James was to Harry, so is Ron to James. |
ejh0904 Wednesday 12th March 2008 17:19 | All Was Well |
Okay, okay, I've quit crying for the moment. Ginny waited for him and even better, Harry went with her. Those of us who love deeply understand this - there is no life if they're not in it. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. Perfect. |
Chatmandu Wednesday 12th March 2008 17:13 | All Was Well |
Well done. This could have been maudlin but you kept it poignant and touching instead. James, the trouble maker, responding as the dutiful eldest; as the eldest in my family I understand his position completely.
Some humor, perhaps unintended? I can not quite imagine Fleur or Angelina as dowagers!

Ah, good work! Quite sad, but rather happy end in my opinion. |

This is a beautiful ending to a wonderful story of life and love. It would be hard for Harry and Ginny's children and grandchildren to lose them both at the same time but it would be best for Harry and Ginny. You have painted a wonderful picture of a perfect life's end. May we all find such a blessing at the end of our mortal lives. Thanks for writing. p |
Firefairy Wednesday 12th March 2008 04:40 | All Was Well |
Wow, that really touched my heart, I love this piece! Thanks so much! |
DukeBrymin Wednesday 12th March 2008 03:59 | All Was Well |
Very sweet. I personally subscribe to the idea that we will never have to be apart from our loved ones for long, and as we all know, Harry and Ginny belong together, no matter where. |
TheKiD Wednesday 12th March 2008 03:00 | All Was Well |
Wonderfully written story indeed. I enjoyed it a great deal. I've got to ask, though, what happened to Ron and Hermione (not grand-children or nephews, or any kind), but the ones in Harry's 'year'. Were they already..you know...dead, because they weren't there..? I'm just curious.
Anyway, wonderful story. One of the firsts I've seen written about Harry's death. |
Wednesday 12th March 2008 04:02 | All Was Well (Author Response) |
Yes. In my own version of the HP timeline, by the time this story takes place both Ron and Hermione have already died. Ron by only a few years, Hermione by nearly ten. |
lockdalf Wednesday 12th March 2008 00:10 | All Was Well |
wow, first I thought this was going to pick up where the DH ended but it was an interesting surprice. The Master of Death dying at last undefieted... Nice short story, I liked it a lot... |
Wednesday 12th March 2008 00:14 | All Was Well (Author Response) |
Thanks. I've got two stories that pick up where DH "ends". One that starts the morning after the end of Chapter 36, the other that starts in the middle of the Epilogue. The first story, "I Saw My Lady Weep" is also on PhoenixSong. The second, "Our Obligations", isn't here yet but will be eventually, once I get it sorted out.
I thought it was utterly appropriate that the Master of the Hallows simply decided to let go, dying not only undefeated, but content. |
Arnel Tuesday 11th March 2008 23:38 | All Was Well |
Thanks for including the Shakespeare sonnet. It's a great way to end this piece.
You've done a very nice job giving us a complete closure to Harry and Ginny's saga. We know their life's work is done and that their memories will live on in the things taught to new generations and the people they leave behind. It's a comfort to know these things.
Thanks for sharing this story with us. It definitely deserves . |

Very well done. Almost like a canon-compliant version of Jeconais's The Abyss ( http://jeconais.fanficauthors.net/The_Abyss/The_Abyss.php ). And that is very high praise indeed. |

If you say so, man... me, I don't see the resemblance. But maybe that's just me. |
