I wonder what kind of forces are those? are you willing to let something slip upon reviewers?
though i may be able to imagine at least a bit:
1- Snape, once sacked from Hogwarts making plans with Lucius against Merged-Harry. I think Pettigrew release from the ministry might have something to do with, perhaps to have him going to find voldemort like he does in canon.
I'm worried about Harry don't making a through investigation about those things, knowing that somethings are forced to repite themselves despite harry's efforts. Among other things:
the whole Quidditch World Coup and the events that took place afterwards, though it may be funny seeing, or rather reading, Harry obliterating those Death Eaters on the spot. More important however, the Tri-Wizard Tournament and the whole "Let's get Voldemort to the land of living once again" plot behind it. would you let it happen at all? i think before that whole ordeal, Harry should tell Dumbledore everything, providing he figured out a way to tell him without risking any Obliviate on him.
If he does, perhaps they can be able to take out the Horcrux within the Sorting Hat and destroing it, and then use the basilisk venom to destroy all the other Horcruxes except the snake, and then letting himself being led to the Little Hangleton's graveyard trap, in order to obliterate Voldemort, Pettigrew and the last Horcrux, all at once.
it would make it out for an spectacular end. And Harry would at least be free and able to build a life with all his friends, surrogate family, godfather and headmaster all of them live and safe... THE END
I don't think it would be that easy, would it?
keep going on this fascinating history, I'm very eager to read more of it
please update and if you can adress my rather largest doubts...

Another brilliant chapter. Ol' Sluggy is as much a synchophant as ever. Will Dumbledore try and get that memory out of him while he's teaching? Is there a memory to get in your story?
I like the Granger's. Not a bit surprised Mr G was ready to pull Hermione out of Hogwarts. Glad everyone pitched in to save the day.
Harry never had an idea of the forces allied against him. I'm just hoping he wins in the end. |

| what was right was getting any child you love out of Hoggy. Other magical schools would be an option, but no child of mine is going to a school as mismanaged and poorly "protected" as Hoggy. There is a right and wrong, and sending your child to an insane asylum that protects bullies and punishes good and allows monsters free reign is not one my child is going to go to. No loving parent would EVER permit their child to go to Hoggy. Not even the sycophantic Weasleys would let their precious children attend Hoggy. It doesn't matter if canon or fanfic, any parent who would knowingly send their child back to Hoggy is committing child abuse and child endangerment, consciously and with forethought. |

| Such a long time coming, but so worth the wait. I can see so many pitfalls in the future of this fic. Hard to know if these changes have been for the best, so I guess that Harry will muddle through and we can only hope for the best can,t we? This is excellent work by the way, and such long chapters make the wait well worth while. I began at the beginning again, and have still to read ch. 37, but am certain that I will enjoy it. This is probably the best fanfic I've ever read, so keep up the good work.
One of the things that I like best about this story is the political aspect, and the way you are handling it is masterful. If this story continues through all of Harry's school years (which I sincerly hope it does) then the upcoming years should be entertaining, with (hopefully) more Fudge bashing. It'll be interesting to see how you deal with the whole Triwizard thing. For example, does Voldemort get his body back, and if so, does Harry duel him? Then there's the whole thing with Harry being extremely powerful. You've nailed that aspect of the story, by the way. Other fanfic's tend to have some random reason as to why Harry suddenly turned godlike, where as your's is very much in character. That might be what I like best about this story, that everyone pretty much stays true to what JKR wrote. Also, if you continue this story through year five, well, that should be extremely entertaining if your previous writing is any indication. Umbridge vs. mature Harry. Anyways, keep up the amazing work. |

This was an excellent character building chapter! I love the direction you're going in. How inventive to use the basilisk to make some money. Brilliant!
(One quick word to the negative comments I've seen posted here so far: Do you have any idea how rare it is to read an author's work in progress? How dare you ask for quicker "updates"? The books that have been published for your reading pleasure often take authors many, many years to complete. Please stop asking a brilliant author to hurry. It's embarassing to the rest of the readers in my opinion. If this story takes years to complete, then so be it. I'm in for the long haul because I've been allowed the priviledge of looking over this author's shoulder, so to speak.)

Wow! I was so excited to see an update. This is such a terrific story and it is so well written...I just really enjoy it. In particular, I love the way you are developing Ginny and Harry's relationship. You've done a great job fitting Slughorn in to this year. Thank goodness the parents are stepping in and saying "What the heck is happening at that school!"
Harry is just incredible. He's Harry from canon but with knowledge. He's still a kid, but he's unnaturally mature. I like the way he explained himself to Mcgonnagal. You're keeping Harry, Harry but changing him to fit his experiences, it just feels right. Thanks for sharing your story. |

Excellent chapter! I was hesitant to begin this story, partly because the summary didn't grab me (it doesn't even hint as to the brilliance of this work), and partly due to the length as it's still a WIP.
Needless to say, I'm more than happy with the decision to read this. It is fantastic! Keep writing even if your frustrated with comments that your not updating fast enough. It just means that everyone is truly in to this story.
I can't wait for the next chapter! Love the way Harry's powers are assimilating. Can't wait for him to be on the same emotional level as Ginny. |

Very glad you're continuing this. You do a fantastic job making the changes that Harry is causing ripple through events realistically; I especially like the awkwardness with Ginny, because Harry knows they're too young for what he "remembers", and the concern that Dumbledore and McGonagall have over Harry's actions. (I was happy to see McGonagall coming to understand Harry better in this chapter, though.) Another thing I particularly like is the way you include the Grangers a little more -- it does seem odd in canon how little time Hermione spends with her family, even over holidays. And Harry outmaneuvering Slughorn is so much fun to watch!
