Drop the \"World of\" off the World of Warcraft and you will be in the right era...
The first Warcraft release was in 1994 for the US and by 1995 world wide. World of Warcraft wasn\'t released until 2004. Tekken was in 1994, Tekken TWO in 1995, Tekken 3 in 1996. Joust had a console version in the late 90s.

Hmm... no reaction from any adults when Dudley was beaten? (I\'d expect that he\'d have a few marks to show for the experience.)
Though it took him long enough to actually find something in the Library, it seems that engaging the Librarian was a rather good move -- and she\'s demonstrated that she pays some attention, at least. :-}

| This is a real turnaround for the Durseleys and Dudley is learning to read for pleasure. something he never did at home. He is also getting exercise because he has to walk to school and home again. Bullies are cowards, so goes conventional wisdom, it was three against one and he did try, what was he supposed to do take them all on? He was already getting pummelled, and they weren't playing by Marquis of Queensbury rules.
So he sounds young. He's immature for his age. |
