I have and continue to enjoy your writing. This is a very long chapter and well worth the wait.

May I suggest something? Life is busy and writing fanfic is really only a hobby so if your updates are few and far between, it is understandable. Perhaps you could write a summary of what transpired in the chapter before the first paragraph of the current one you are about to post so that your followers will be reminded as to the storyline?

Harry's dream was very touching. It's always bittersweet when he's able to communicate with his parents in some way, knowing it's something he really wants, needs and deserves, but also that it's something that can't last...

I like the way the Harry and Ginny's relationship is progressing - it has all the romance and tenderness we love, but still a yothful innocence about it. On relationships, I think the way you've shown how Fred's death has put a strain on Ron and his connections with his friends/family is very realistic. The depth of emotion you've brought to each character makes this story come alive.

I loved the scene with Fred's last will and testament. I'll admit, I got teary (it was hard not to). A very sweet and emotion-filled scene, and still everyone was so in character. I'm glad Fred got a good send-off from his family and friends.

Congratulations on a terrific piece of work so far. I can't wait to read more, and see where things go from here!

Wonderful chapter. I'm especially happy for George being able to work through his pain, and return to a semi-normal life. I think the funerals were very well-done, and I loved Fred's will!

Well done. Fred's service was especially good; Snape's was apropos.

I especially liked referring to the self-styled "Dark Lord" as "Tom" -- he would have absolutely hated it ... and deserved every bit of it.

There will indeed be several more installments. I'm working on Chapter 5 right now. Thank you for keeping up with this little tale.

Reviews like yours make the pain of writing worthwhile! v

It was Bloody Brilliant!!! Fred's last will and testament was amazing - I was laughing and crying throughout the entire thing! Fred's funeral was heartbreaking but so beautiful and so perfectly Fred. And Filch came! That was awesome, lol. And I'm glad that you included the ending section with Snape's funeral. So many authors forget to include him in their stories, but as always you remember everything and made sure that Snape had a proper send-off. Just like you remembered to have Lavender thank Hermione! I loved that part, so sweet, and Ron SO did not want to be there, hahaha. Anyways it was a great chapter and well worth the wait. I can't wait to see what you have planned next!

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.

The thing about this is that there are sooooo many loose ends to tie up. What was going to be a 3-4 chapter quickie is now stretching out to 8-9 chapters.

I promise that I am working on Chapter 5. I hope to have it posted in a few weeks. I hope you'll find it worth the wait.

This is such a great chapter. I was in tears myself at different times while I read it. It is deffinitely one of my favorites now. Thank you so much for writing. You have really captured "Fred" wanting people to keep living life to the fullest even though he is no longer with them in body. His spirit is one that transends death and you have done a great job bringing that out. I also really appreciate the way you handled Snape's funeral. That was perfect and very believable. I look forward to more of this story. p

Wow! I'm struggling not to let all of your praise to go my head!

Seriously, thanks for the kind review and, more importantly, for taking the time to read. I've really enjoyed writing this, and more is coming. This really is such a classic cast of characters, and it's fun to think about the lives they led after the final book. Perhaps one of the greatest aspects of JKR's creation is how it has knit together this community of folks who never would have communicated otherwise.

I have just found this fic, and read it all right through. This is utterly amazing. I like it a lot. You have a great eye for detail, and I think you have captured the time really well. Emotions are so hard to write about, and I can see and really empathise with the characters, so well is this done.
Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for reading and for the very nice review. You've put me on !

I thought I was never going to get this chapter posted because I kept thinking of stuff to add. I'm glad you were able to empathize with the characters. Of course, I couldn't have done this on my own. JKR gave all of us great material to work with!

Nice update, George. I enjoyed the dream at the beginning - you know I'm always up for some Harry!angst. The funeral was sad, but typically Fred at the same time. I like seeing Harry being there for Ginny during this one, and I hope she'll do the same for him during Remus's.

Thanks for the kind review. Any words of praise coming from the Queen of Fan Fics is heady stuff indeed!

I thought you might like the re-written beginning. I know you have this desire to mother , and I tried to give Lily a brief chance to do that.

Brilliant. I laughed and cried all the way through that, especially Fred's bit. Hilarious and gutting at the same time.
I joined PS just after the release of Deathly Hallows and your's was one of the first I read. It really is fab! Keep em comin!

One thing, sorry, Ron Summons the Invisibilty Cloak off Harry and Ginny at the beginning of this chapter. I thought it couldn't be summoned like that though - something to do with it being a Hallow? The Death Eaters tried to get it off H, R and H before the battle at Hogwarts, but it didn't fly off. I might be wrong, but that's what I thought.

Well thank you for the fab review! You're making me !

I do intend to write several more chapters, though I don't see this stretching into a novel-length project.

As for Ron's summoning of the Invisibility Cloak, let's just say I'm not always the best at thinking through the magic stuff. But here's my defense - Harry wasn't wearing the cloak and wasn't using it to protect himself or his loved ones. In that circumstance, the cloak would behave like any other object and could be summoned. Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Thanks for reading and reviewing.

I like it. But what's the deal with Ron and Hermione, the wands, and the mysterious book? It sounds vaguely like the plot of some R/H fanfic I've read before, but I can't remember what it was...

Thanks for reading and reviewing.

As for the & question - I can't give away all of the secrets before the ending, now can I?

first time i've read this story, probably missed it cos as you said in author's note, it's been 9 months.

to be honest, i've read a lot of post-battle fics that are really good, some are excellent, but yours is, in one word, perfect. it's hard to really describe it, but i guess what i wanna say is that everything in this fic feels so right in terms of what happened after. You've got a perfect balance of humor and sentimentality so that this becomes an extremely enjoyable and fun read. keep it up

Wow! My writing has been described as many things by a lot of different people, but perfect was never one of them! You're making me !

Anyway, thanks for reading and reviewing. I'm trying to strike what I hope is a realistic balance between the sorrow Harry and his family would be feeling versus the need to move on to a brighter, happier phase in their lives. There is indeed more coming. I'm working on the next chapter right now.

Well I caught the reference to the "Noodle Incidnet", I'll have to go look for the Wrath of Khan bit. Just read the whole story so far and am very glad to hear there will be more coming. Very nice work!

Thank you for the kind review. Glad the story is holding your interest. Yes, there's more coming - and sooner rather than later.

As promised, a for you, since you picked up one of the references. Another Snitch if you figure out the Star Trek reference.

This is a really good fanfic. I can't wait for the next installment. Will this story start to be a little more cheerful now that some of the funerals are over?

Thank you for your kind words, and for reading!

And in response to your question, yes, there will be a lot less in future chapters. Everyone's had their breakdown, now they can start rebuilding.

Wonderful chapter! I know I should probably say more, but I'm kind of speechless, the whole thing kept me reading, and I was so focused that I couldn't even remember I was reading, let alone what. I just kept imaginating the events you described.

It certainly was worth the wait, although try to post that next chapter faster ;P

Wonderful story, keep on going! ;D

Thank you for reading and reviewing. When I took up writing again, I thought I'd never get this chapter done, because I kept thinking of things to add. I'm glad it all came to life for you. I will indeed get the next chapter posted more quickly. I'm working on it now.
