Ginny's Sixth Year at Hogwarts
I have enjoyed this story. I do have one quibble, though, with the fact that Ginny didn't even ask Bill how Ron had come to be at Shell Cottage nor expressed any consternation. In the book, Ron himself feared what Ginny's reaction would have been - with good reason. Her reaction here is a bit too passive perhaps.

Thank you for your review. In my mind, Ginny is as worried that her parents will keep her home and that they all will have to go into hiding as she is about Harry, Ron, and Hermione. She is pretty young to have to feel as responsible as she does.

Another wonderful chapter, So Ginny can feel when Harry is around. That will come in handy to know for later. Till the next one!

Thanks for being so faithful in reading and reviewing. I think JKR hinted at Ginny being able to sense that Harry was near in the scene where she is comforting the dying girl and Harry is under his Invisibility Cloak on his way to surrender to Voldemort. He's been watching her name on his map and thinking about her so he must send out powerful vibes. Maybe I am just an old romantic.

This is a very beautiful story.

Now, we can see how hard must haven been for Molly and Arthur that "Year of the War".

Great effort!

Thank you for your supportive comments. No one really knows what happened at Hogwarts except those who were there, but all that we do know is not good. Ginny does not want her parents to know how she is "being punished" and they want to avoid going into hiding as long as they can. I am sure that Arthur being in a sensitive position within the Ministry, what the twins are developing for the Order, and Bill's information from Gringotts is helping the resistance against Voldemort.

Please keep reading and let me know what you think about the Battle of Hogwarts chapters.

This is like reading Molly's diary.
I'm looking forward to the rest.
The fleeing from the burrow, going into hiding.
The battle at Hogwarts with Molly's battle with Bella. Oh boy oh boy.

Thank you! When I first started reading Harry Potter fan fics, I enjoyed Arabella's series Hermione Granger, Queen of Witches over at Sugar Quill. She only wrote as far as the fifth book but it is an 'oldie but a goodie',

Yes, the rest of this story is action packed. I am writing Ginny's Seventh Year now and it is much harder because there is no pre-existing story to write from.

As I said in the last chapter, I really like the way you're handling the darker times of this particular year. You've done a good job of writing the fear and worry, but also showing the spirit that is building up in them all, driving them to resist and to prepare for the worst. It finally feels like the underground resistance is getting traction, though they're all worried sick about what could happen. I like Ginny's feelings about Harry's presence, even though it wasn't mentioned in canon! That's not a long stretch of imagination to believe it's true. One last thought, poor Molly! That woman would be so upset to learn that her son was staying with Bill and she didn't get to see him!

Thank you again. This year gets darker than it is now. Arthur and Molly are prevented from knowing what hardships the Trio and Ginny and her mates are suffering. There is not much that they could have done and kept resisting.

I've given the Prewitt women a mild form of 'second sight'. They pick up on emotions of others and have strong 'gut feelings'.

Thank you. Molly is very much like any other mother who is worried about a lost child. Her reaction to Bill's news is mixed relief and anger. Knitting warm jumpers and socks for people who are probably cold and hungry is all she can do.

I have been very clear that my Harry Potter fan fics overlap with the universe that St Margarets has created. She was the first person who encouraged me to try writing my own and I pay homage to her.
