Speaking of a muggle toilet raises all kind of questions about what a wizard toilet would be like (autoscourgify so no wiping?? :lol. Nice humor with Lee as toilet seat and being "flushed"
While the self-tattooing shaman ink is a nice prop, I think Harry is quite able to develop occlumency; his problems stem from some inherent weakness (genetic from his father in your story) but from Snape's malevolence (and probably ineptitude as well).
