The name "D. B. Wallace" is familiar to me, for some reason. Did you just then make that name up?
I called it! Not that that can be proven, seeing as this chapter was already posted when I did, but I assert that I called it. Also, my favorite line in this chapter is when Scott says, "I can only remember the Horcrux causing trouble a couple times. No, just that one time. Oh, wait — not at all." I'll try to remember that one, that's witty.
As far as Tonks, the focus was mostly on Lila, wasn't it, even if it was from Tonks's PoV? Also, I forgot to mention it before, but I like how Tonks tried to keep rambling to be disarming for Lila even at the end of the chapter, though I'm not sure how in-character it is for her (if there is an "in-character" for a barely-seen-in-canon character).

"The stretch ominous silence from the phone was indication enough of how well that had worked." I believe you mean, "The stretch of ominous silence..."? Then, in the Authorial Note, you mention "...bring them more in clearly in the line with..." I think it should be "bring them more clearly in line with..."

It's not a name that's ever appeared in the story before. I think it's just a mashup of D. B. Cooper and Wallace Beery, probably. I know the last name of the woman in the letters was taken from Watchmen.

It was about Lila and Tonks and how they related to the Order and each other, primarily. Mostly I added that chapter because people were bugging me for some more action, so I put in between a lot of character-development heavy chapters. To very little response, as it turned out, so I guess I don't know what anyone really wants.

Tonks is, as you said, not a character who has much character, in relation to the books. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess she probably has more lines in that chapter than she did in the entire canon series.

Thanks for the update! I also liked the chapter on Tonks, even if I didn't leave a review ;-) Keep up the good work :-)

It has taken me a couple of weeks to catch up on this due to a slow rate of reading.. Scott has had a bad chapter and Harry has had a kick in the guts. Join the club. It can only get better.
Question.
How many reads to get one review?

How many reads to get one review?

Difficult to say, mostly because I'm terrible at math. But if we use FFnet as a current example, Vis Insita has 283 reviews and about 42,000 views. Many of those are not unique hits and a lot of them are on chapter one, but the principle still applies going by your question. So it's roughly 150 reads per review, which is actually substantially higher than TTM, which was more like 900 reads per review.

Thank's for the update looking forward to the next one. Personally I didn't mind the Tonks stuff.

Glad you liked the Tonks POV, it's something I hadn't done before and didn't seem to hold the interest of most readers. It's hard to tell, however. Sometimes review amounts fluctuate for reasons that aren't discernible.
