This is a great chapter! Poor Harry. He just can't seem to catch a break! I hope he doesn't have to suffer too much more before they find an antidote. I really look forward each week to finding out what is going to happen next! Thanks Melinda!

Me? Make Harry suffer? Whatever gave you that idea?

great chapter, although Harry's illness is rather bothersome with no cure in sight as yet, but I suppose you have your reasons right?

loved Harry's birthday present. Do you have a name for him as yet or can we offer some suggestions based on the characteristics that you provide?

You certainly can give me your thoughts, but I'm currently working on the final chapter, so the story is just about written.

Great chapter again! I love Harry and Ginny time :-)

I hope you give Harry a break soon with a working antidote, it pains me that he is not a 100% and I don't now for how many more chapters I can take it.

LOL, you know my stories never give Harry much of a break, lol. But I hope it keeps it interesting!

Another excellent chapter! I thought the meeting with Draco was very well done. It's too cool that he didn't get what he wanted. That boy needs to learn some humility. I also enjoyed the bit about the Action Twin device - that should be good for quite a bit of fun down the road. I also like how the birthday went. It was really neat that Ginny and George bought Harry a new owl. You know he would never do that on his own. Much better this way.

Thanks! I know Harry and Draco eventually become civil, but that can't happen over night, so I have room to play!

And you're right that Harry would never buy himself a new pet - it had to be gifted. He'll never take the place of Hedwig, but Harry can form a new bond with this little guy.

I know I didn't comment in a long time...but I am still enjoyning your story. It is so good. I really like the emotion and the affection everybody has for, well, everybody and how Harry now really becomes a Weasley. You have such great ideas. I love when a author sits down and thinks about what is possible and what can be done.
P.S.: It is not a critism, just a riddle: "George, usually so confident and cheerful, ducked his head, his ears reddening with that trademark Weasley blush." What's wrong with that senctence? (JK really played though with the twins )

I'm glad to see you back, and I always appreciate the comments. You caught my error! George only has one ear. Ooops!!!!

Harry needed some "happy" and he certainly found some on his birthday. Ginny had the right idea meeting him after his class and accomplished two things at once. First, her presence was totally unexpected, so a little together-time is an unforeseen bonus for both of them. Second, and probably the longer-lasting of the two, Ginny claimed Harry as "her" wizard as he claimed her as his girlfriend. The likes of Violet will be sorely disappointed now that Harry has been publicly affectionate with her.

George really did a good thing by helping Ginny purchase an owl for Harry. She's right that by fixing Harry's communication problems, George is regaining some control over his life as well as the results of the war. That's really important for both wizards in their recovery process and I think Ginny also heals a bit through this gift because she knows that if Harry needs to contact her he has the means to do it. I grinned when Harry insisted they take a few days to get to know the owl before they named it. If Harry lives through this poisoning, I think he has some rather permanent plans for his future that definitely include Ginny and the new owl.

All in all, this chapter made me smile in more ways than one, so here are for the big grin that's still plastered there as I write this review.

Everyone needs a happy birthday - especially Harry who missed so many as a child. Honestly, I never intended Violet to have any real interest in Harry. She's just a flirt, but I'm quite fond of her, lol.

I'm glad I could make you smile. I really felt this chapter and the gift went a long way in George's progress. At the end of DH, it's really George I'm so worried about.
