Ginny as Animagus; that's great but what about Harry ?
Nice birthday party for Harry. Nice speech he made and nice gift from Ginny.
Only Ron and Hermione could turn a talk about running into an argument .

I'm just now stumbling across your amazing fic ... and I'm hooked! It was so touching to see Harry finally get a proper birthday party, Wheezes and all!

And was the Disney reference the dishes lining up in a row to be washed? Reminds me of a scene out of Fantasia ....

Cheers!

Yet another awesome chapter! The birthday party was amazing, and the twins are still the twins. (Newt Nuggets? honestly!)

For goodness sake, what happened in the printing process? All the little thingys, and that,s the best way to describe them, all the way through the chapter. they were very annoying . I know it,s not your fault, and the fic is done, but I,m curious.they were very disconcerting too,and sometimes took the place of necessary words. For a while I thought it might be a code or something. Oh,well! I,ll see what next chapter brings.

Hi--fixed the formatting--the site didn't like the way my word processor did long dashes, so it put in all that weird code stuff.  It's all better now, though. Thanks for letting me know!

I'm really enjoying this story.  I'm disappointed that I missed the Disney reference, but the Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference made me laugh out loud.  I really wasn't expecting that.  Thanks!

"Shut up, Perce," Fred said amiably. "If he doesn't want to make a speech, he doesn't need you making one for him." -- LOL.

By the way, this chapter has some formatting problems. The last third is in italics, and there's a bunch of garbage characters.

Heal The Pain

Hi. I just love your story so far. Have gotten to chapter 5. Loved Harry's birthday party, so good for him, he deserves a family. But at this point something struck me as odd. When the twins transform Harry into a newt and when he changes back there is mentioned that he knows how the feeling of apparating, as they had gotten their apparation permit earlier that summer. But in the chapter where they go to the ministry of magic, they Floo. And Harry comments that he wished thet knew how to apparate. No where in between these incidents is there any refrence that they had recieved the apparation permit. (Those two incidents are not that many days appart are they?) That being an important thing in any young wizards life, would need to be mentioned in one way or another. I my oppinion that would be important to know when and how they got it. I mean this would probably be something they would use when they begin their training.

This was just something I wanted to comment on. But besides that, I truely like and enjoy your story. Can't waite to read more, but alas the time is of late hours and my body needs rest. Will continue reading in the morning. Harry and Ginny belongs together  +  = LOVE

Hi! Thanks for the lovely review. In response to your question, more than a month has passed; chapters 1-4 take place in about 3 days, beginning the day they leave Hogwarts (that is, mid to late June), and chapter 5 is on Harry's birthday--July 31.  I skipped a goodly amount of time because nothing important happened in the interim. Heal the Pain does that in a few places: a whole lot will happen in a very short time, then there's a good deal of waiting until the next "big thing" occurs. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear.

I'm glad you're enjoying my story!

I just found this story, and was hooked right away.  I found this chapter very moving.  In over 20 years as a soldier, I learned that whenever old soldiers get in their cups, one of the first toasts is "to absent comrades."  How sad that Harry and his friends have had to learn that toast, and take from it what small comfort it provides.

I like your characterizations, especially Ron and Hermione.  Their comfortable relationship is more as I have thought it would be after they admit their feelings to each other.  I'll be interested to see who you provide as partners to the new Unspeakables.
