A/N: Just to negate any confusion, this new installment is in the point of view of James.
Contemplations
I watched her today,
again, for a little.
And, I’m still amazed
at all the things I see.
Many seem to think
her manners brisk and cold,
though I’ve seemed to find
her quite the contrary.
The clues are subtle
and often hard to find,
but there nonetheless,
easy for me to see.
I catch her small smiles
she always gives herself
while seeming to be
on a small private joke.
Though even more rare
are her true happy smiles,
lighting up her face
as well as her green eyes.
The occasions when
she’s as mad as can be;
she grows colder while
her anger rolls off her.
A raging Lily
should never be crossed with
for anger and stress
make her irritable.
Another side which
so few bother to see
is how she will help
younger students in need.
Whether it be homework,
or understanding ear,
she always does it
patiently and with heart.
A new little note
that has just come to light
is her new manners
when she is around me.
She seems more alert
as if she is waiting
for some sort of slip,
be it of tongue or act.
If I do something
unlike my character,
it takes her a bit
to decide her actions.
When I do my best
so that she starts laughing,
she still seems reserved
as if feeling guilty.
Just like a small fawn
on moonlit forest nights,
she does appear torn
whether to run or stay.
But, it seems to me,
lately, she has started
to stay here longer
and has not run away.
